Ester's Korean Won Tons
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 cup onion finely diced
- 1/4 cabbage (about 3 cups) finely chopped
- 1 Tbs minced garlic
- 1 can bean sprouts drained and water squeezed out
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup green onions
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp ground black pepper
- 2 Tbs soy sauce
- 1 package dumpling skins
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine all the ingredients and mix well.
- place a wonton shin in the palm of your hand.
- Brush the edges of the skin with water.
- Place a spoonful of the meat mixture in the middle. Do not over stuff.
- Fold the skin diagonally in half over the meat mixture and press the edges together firmly to seal.
- Repeat with the remaining wonton skins.
- Fill deep fryer with oil to fill line.
- Set temperature to 350 degrees.
- Cook stuffed wontons 4 at a time for 5 minutes turning frequently.
