- 1 lb ground pork
- 2 cup dried bread crumbs
- 1 cup fine diced yellow onion
- 1 cup milk
- 2 large eggs beaten
- 4 Tbs Ketchup
- 2 Tbs Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tsp dried parsley leaves
- 1 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees
- In a large bowl, add beef, pork, bread crumbs, onion, milk, eggs, ketchup, worcestershire sauce, parsley, salt, garlic powder, and pepper.
- Mix thoroughly using your hands.
- Form the meat loaf mixture into 10 meat loaf patties and place on a sheet pan.
- Coat the top of the meat loaf patties with a layer of ketchup.
- Bake uncovered for 50 – 55 minutes.
- Remove from oven and let stand for 8 – 10 minutes before serving.
Notes:
- We prefer the meat loaf patties for the versatility of being able to use as a standard meat loaf, meat loaf sandwich, or a meat loaf burger; however, you can place the meat loaf mixture into mini loaf pans for a more traditional experience.
- The meat loaf patties can be frozen for later use. Once the meatloaf patties have been cooked and cooled, place the entire sheet pan in the freezer for 2 hours. This will help prevent the patties from breaking during reheating. Divide the meat loaf patties into serving size based on your families needs and place in a freezer container.
- As an alternative to the ketchup topping, try using your favorite BBQ sauce.
- The meatloaf mixture can also be formed into meatballs for spaghetti.
- Try cooking patties in the BBQ for a more smoky flavor.
