Granny's Pineapple Upside-Down Cake
Ingredients
- 1 box yellow cake mix
- 1/4 cup butter or margarine
- 1 cup brown sugar
- maraschino cherries
- pineapple slices
Directions
- Melt about a half stick of butter or margarine and pour into the bottom of cake pan.
- Sprinkle brown sugar over the melted butter.
- Stir brown sugar into the melted butter until well mixed and mixture covers the bottom of cakepan.
- Place pineapple slices in pan all around the edges and in the center.
- Place a cherry in the center of each of the pineapple slices.
- Mix cake mixas directed on the package and then pour over pineapple slices.
- Bake for 35 – 40 minutes at 350 degrees or until cake is done.
- Let cool slightly and then invert cake pan onto serving dish.
